JDr. Anurag Kumar, a distinguished figure in Electrical Communication Engineering, served as the Director of the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bangalore from 2014 to 2020. With a BTech degree from IIT Kanpur and a PhD from Cornell University, he joined IISc in 1988. His extensive career includes a significant tenure at AT&T Bell Labs, where he delved into computer systems and communication networks.

Dr. Kumar's contributions extend from pioneering research in communication networks and cyber-physical systems to impactful roles as the Coordinator of the nationwide Education and Research Network (ERNET) Project. Recognized with awards like the IISc Alumni Award for Excellence in Engineering Research and the CDAC-ACCS Foundation Award, he is a Fellow of prestigious institutions, including the Indian National Academy of Engineering and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.

Currently, as an Honorary Professor at IISc, Dr. Kumar continues his academic pursuits, consultancy, and active involvement in national committees. His legacy at IISc and his ongoing contributions underscore his expertise and dedication to advancing the field of Electrical Communication Engineering.

JDr. Yadati Narahari, a luminary in Computer Science, has shaped the landscape of education and research at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) since 1979. Beginning as a dedicated B.E. student, he progressed to Chair the Department of CSA and later served as the Dean of EECS. His global impact is evident through his roles at MIT and NIST, USA.

A recipient of prestigious accolades, including the J.C. Bose National Fellowship, Dr. Narahari is an elected fellow of esteemed institutions, including IEEE and Indian National Academy of Engineering. His leadership has extended to pivotal projects like DIGITS and influential clusters at IISc.

A prolific author of three influential books, Dr. Narahari mentored a multitude of students, guiding them to Ph.D. and Master’s degrees. His journey from humble beginnings in Andhra Pradesh to IISc exemplifies the transformative power of education. Dr. Narahari's legacy continues, inspiring scholars in computer science and automation.

JUmesh Varshney, an eminent Indian molecular biologist, heads a laboratory at the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru. His groundbreaking studies on protein synthesis and DNA repair in Escherichia coli and Mycobacterium tuberculosis have earned him numerous accolades. A J.C. Bose National Fellow, he's recognized by institutions like the Indian Academy of Sciences and the National Academy of Sciences.

Varshney's illustrious career began after completing his doctoral studies in Canada and post-doctoral research at MIT. Since 1991, he has significantly contributed to our understanding of mycobacterial biology, uncovering critical interactions within ribosomes and exploring DNA repair pathways. His work has led to potential drug targets and attenuated strains.

Recipient of the National Bioscience Award, Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize, and G.N. Ramachandran Gold Medal, Varshney's influence extends beyond research. He has mentored scholars, organized international workshops, and delivered keynote addresses at scientific conferences. Varshney's legacy in molecular biology continues to inspire and shape the future of scientific discovery.

JDr. S. Raghunath, a prominent figure in Corporate Strategy and Policy, currently serves as the Dean (Admin) at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore. With an illustrious career spanning two decades at IIM Bangalore, he has held pivotal roles, including Chairperson of the Corporate Strategy and Policy area and the NS Raghavan Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning. He has also chaired the IIMB International Student Exchange program.

As Chairman of the South Asia Board of the Academy of International Business (AIB), Dr. Raghunath is a recognized expert in international business. In his teaching portfolio, he imparts knowledge on strategy, strategic alliances, and e-business strategies in postgraduate and doctoral programs. He has coached senior managers from top Indian and multinational companies, offering his expertise to industry giants like General Electric, IBM, and Wipro.

Dr. Raghunath's influence extends globally; he was a visiting scholar at Stanford University, researching strategy-making in high-tech companies.
